August 29, 2025: Wheeling, WV 26003 The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights edged the visiting Union Local Jets football team by a score of 25-19 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Maroon Knights face the Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Wheeling Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cadets enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 36-7 non-league win over West Muskingum (Zanesville, OH).
The Jets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH). The Redskins enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, Indian Creek edged East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH), 37-19, in a non-league outing.
