In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Divide County Maroons football squad scored a good 22-8 triumph over the Tioga Pirates.

The Maroons (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND). The Mavericks come into the 9-Man Region 5 (9 Man) match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood was beaten by South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 50-44, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Towner-Granville-Upham Titans (Towner, ND) in a 9-Man Region 6 (9 Man) match, on Friday, September 6. Tioga will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Titans come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 54-14 non-league win over Dunseith (Dunseith, ND).
