New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA), 42-19 in a non-league battle.

With the win, New Castle improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA) to play the Vikings in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 31. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Hopewell won 38-26 in their recent non-league battle against Riverside (Ellwood City, PA)

The Vikings now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host New Castle for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 31. Hopewell will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 49-47 non-league win over General McLane (Edinboro, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-0.
