The May River Sharks edged the host West Ashley Wildcats football team by a score of 28-21 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Sharks face the Lake City Panthers (Lake City, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 6. May River will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 28-26 non-league win over Timberland (St. Stephen, SC).
