Texas High School Volleyball - Taft can't get by Floresville

Floresville Tigers/Jaguars (Floresville, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Floresville improves its record to 19-9 on the season. The Tigers/Jaguars host Brenham (Brenham, TX) to meet the Cubs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Cubs come into the challenge with a record of 16-10. Brenham won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Victoria West (Victoria, TX)

Next, the Raiders meet the Stevens Falcons (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 28 test, on Tuesday, September 2. Taft will attempt to advance on its 19-6 season record. The Falcons go into the test with a 17-10 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX).
