The Rogers Pirates football team (Florence, AL), was beaten 26-13 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Lauderdale County Tigers (Rogersville, AL)

The Tigers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Clements (Athens, AL). The Colts come into the 3A Region 8 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Clements was beaten by West Limestone (Lester, AL), 29-26, in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Lawrence for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Friday, September 8. Rogers will meet a Eagles team coming off a 20-16 non-league win over Winston County (Double Springs, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
