The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL) and the visiting Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL), saw Somonauk's volleyball squad nip Sandwich by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Somonauk upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Bobcats host Marquette (Ottawa, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Marquette won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL)

The Indians now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they host Richmond-Burton for a Kishwaukee River bout on Wednesday, September 6. Sandwich will play a Rockets squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 7-3.
