Georgia High School Softball - Jeff Davis sneaks past Wilcox County
August 6, 2025: Hazlehurst, GA 31539 In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Jeff Davis Yellowjackets softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the Wilcox County Patriots.
The Yellowjackets (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Wayne County nipped Citizens Christian Academy (Douglas, GA), 11-5, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Patriots confront the Montgomery County Eagles (Mt. Vernon, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 4 match, on Thursday, August 7. Wilcox County will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
