The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD) football edged the visiting Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA), 19-13 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the National Christian Academy Eagles (Fort Washington, MD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 9. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 42-6 non-league win over McKinley Tech (Washington, DC).

The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA). The Saints enter the non-league bout with a 1-0 record.
