The Lions now have a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Skyline for a non-league test on Saturday, September 2. Turner will confront a Raiders team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Turner (Carrollton, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 0-5.

Both teams going undefeated in pool play, faced off for the last game of the night. The Lady Lions got off to an amazing start, lead by freshmen Alondra Barcena's serving. She went 8 straight before the first sideout. From there, the team played in perfect harmony with seniors Abby Douglas-Foy and Yadira Rodriguez shutting down the net, amazing defense by senior Lia Diaz and sophomore Grecia De La Garza, beautiful set ups by junior Leila Farda and freshmen Alondra Barcenas, and ferocious attacks by senior Dylann Barnwell and junior Addison Derrick. The Lady Lions quickly demolished the South Garland Titans in 2 sets, 25-22 and 25-13.
