In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting St. Albans Red Dragons volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Ripley Vikings.

The Red Dragons (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV). The Grizzlies enter the non-league test with a 1-11 record. In their last test, Nicholas County was edged by Capital (Charleston, WV), 2-0, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nicholas County for a Mountain State test on Thursday, September 11. Ripley will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Capital (Charleston, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-11.
