September 12, 2024: Glade Spring, VA 24340 The Patrick Henry Rebels football squad scored 61 points and limited the visiting J.I. Burton Black Raiders to 20 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Rebels now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Grundy for a non-league test on Friday, September 20. Patrick Henry will meet a Golden Wave squad coming off a 46-0 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Golden Wave record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, J.I. Burton drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Black raiders host Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA) to meet the Titans in a Cumberland test on Friday, September 20. The Titans come into the test with a record of 1-0. Twin Springs won 39-20 in their recent non-league test against Unaka (Elizabethton, TN)
