New Jersey High School Soccer - Mahwah nudges Lakeland Regional
September 12, 2024: Mahwah, NJ 07430 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ) and the visiting Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ), saw Mahwah's soccer squad hold off Lakeland Regional by a count of 3-2.
The Thunderbirds (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Ridgers enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Glen Ridge tipped Nutley (Nutley, NJ), 5-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Lancers battle the Pompton Lakes Cardinals (Pompton Lakes, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 14. Lakeland Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Cardinals enter the battle with a 3-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Eastern Christian (North Haledon, NJ).
