Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Cerritos Dons (Cerritos, CA), 42-23 in a non-league battle.

With the triumph, Valley Christian upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Defenders travel to St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA) to confront the Saints in a non-league match on Thursday, September 18. The Saints come into the match with a record of 0-3. St. Anthony lost 21-0 in their recent non-league match against Summit (Fontana, CA)

Coming up next, the Dons confront the Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 18. Cerritos will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Comanches come into the match with a 2-2 record after their 49-42 non-league loss to Sunny Hills (Fullerton, CA).
