Hugoton Eagles (Hugoton, KS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Ulysses Tigers (Ulysses, KS), 28-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Hugoton improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Lakin (Lakin, KS) to play the Broncs in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Broncs go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Lakin won 26-8 in their recent non-league test against Syracuse (Syracuse, KS)

With the defeat, Ulysses drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Holcomb (Holcomb, KS) to meet the Longhorns in a Great West test on Friday, September 19. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 2-0. Holcomb won 50-6 in their recent league test against Cimarron (Cimarron, KS)
