St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Sacred Heart Tigers (Muenster, TX), 55-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Edmund advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Fighting Blue Jays host Morgan City (Morgan City, LA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league match on Thursday, September 18. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 1-1. Morgan City lost 62-0 in their recent non-league match against Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA)

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Covenant Knights (Dallas, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Sacred Heart will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Knights go into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 42-18 non-league loss to First Baptist (Dallas, TX).
