Michigan High School Volleyball - Mattawan tips Portage Central

September 13, 2025: Portage, MI 49002

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mattawan Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Portage Central Mustangs.

The Wildcats (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Ionia (Ionia, MI). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 12-1 record. In their last challenge, Ionia edged Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Caledonia Fighting Scots (Caledonia, MI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 13. Portage Central will attempt to advance on its 8-12 season record. The Fighting Scots go into the test with a 7-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Byron Center (Byron Center, MI).
