The River Ridge Timberwolves (Patch Grove, WI) volleyball held off the visiting Shullsburg Miners (Shullsburg, WI), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Timberwolves now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a Six Rivers - Western bout on Tuesday, September 16. River Ridge will clash with a Cardinals team coming off a 3-0 league win over Cassville (Cassville, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Shullsburg drops to 7-4 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Viroqua (Viroqua, WI) to confront the Blackhawks in a non-league match on Saturday, September 13.
