September 14, 2023: Sumter, SC 29154 In Thursday's non-league game, the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) football team were victorious over the visiting Summerville Green Wave (Summerville, SC), by a score of 24-14.
The Gamecocks (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Landsharks come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Oceanside Collegiate Academy was knocked off by Atlantic Collegiate Academy (Conway, SC), 10-6, in a non-league game.
The Green Wave now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Goose Creek for a non-league game on Thursday, September 21. Summerville will battle a Gators team coming off a 22-0 non-league loss to Blythewood (Blythewood, SC). The Gators record now stands at 1-1.
