In Saturday's non-league game, the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) football team edged the visiting Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), by a score of 20-13.

In their next game, the Knights face the Ridge Point Panthers (Missouri City, TX) in a 6A Region III District 21 game, on Friday, September 20. Fort Bend Elkins will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 38-21 non-league win over Bridgeland (Cypress, TX).
