In Friday's non-league match, the host South Sioux City Cardinals football squad scored a close 67-60 victory over the Omaha South Packers.

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Millard West Wildcats (Omaha, NE) in a A District 6 match, on Friday, September 23. South Sioux City will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 31-7 non-league loss to Creighton Prep (Omaha, NE).
