In Friday's non-league match, the host Weslaco Panthers football squad scored a good 41-10 victory over the Sharyland Rattlers.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the United South Panthers (Laredo, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 23. Weslaco will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 0-4 record after their 21-7 non-league loss to Harlingen (Harlingen, TX).

The Rattlers (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Mercedes (Mercedes, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Mercedes was toppled by La Feria (La Feria, TX), 53-47, in a non-league match.
