Georgia High School Softball - Southwest drops to Dublin
September 16, 2025: Macon, GA 31206 Dublin Fighting Irish (Dublin, GA) fans exited the stadium happy Tuesday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the host Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 24-1 in a league match.
The Fighting Irish (7-12) will now prepare for their match against Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Golden Hawks go into the 1A D-I Region 2 match with a 13-8 record. In their last match, Washington County gained a win over Northeast (Macon, GA), 20-5, in a league game.
The Patriots now hold a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Bleckley County for a 1A D-I Region 2 game on Thursday, September 18. Southwest will play a Royals squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Royals record now stands at 9-5.
