The Seward Bluejays softball team (Seward, NE), was nipped 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league match with the host Malcolm Clippers (Malcolm, NE)

The Clippers (11-9) will now prepare for their match against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE). The Jeffs go into the C District 5 match with a 4-13 record. In their last match, Fairbury was nipped by Gross Catholic (Omaha, NE), 12-1, in a non-league match.
