West Virginia High School Volleyball - Wayne tips Nitro

Fans at Tuesday's league test between the Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV) and the host Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV), saw Wayne's volleyball squad nudge Nitro by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Wayne improves its record to 4-12 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to encounter the Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, September 25. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Cabell Midland lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV)

Next, the Wildcats meet the Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV) in a Cardinal challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. Nitro will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Generals enter the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV).
