Maine High School Soccer - Orono knocks off Old Town
September 17, 2024: Old Town, ME 04468 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the host Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME), saw Orono's soccer squad triumph over Old Town by a score of 10-1.
The Riots (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils enter the Class C - North battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Central ran past Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) in a Class B - North battle, on Thursday, September 19. Old Town will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 0-2 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME).
