Gilbert Christian Knights (Gilbert, AZ) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting ALA - West Foothills Guardians (Waddell, AZ), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ). The Golden Eagles come into the 3A - Metro challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Bourgade Catholic beat Kingman (Kingman, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Guardians meet the Kingman Bulldogs (Kingman, AZ) in a 3A - West challenge, on Monday, September 22. ALA - West Foothills will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Parker (Parker, AZ).
