Louisiana High School Football - Barbe tops Northwest

September 18, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70570

The Barbe Buccaneers football squad scored 40 points and limited the host Northwest Raiders to 19 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carencro for a 5A District 3 test on Friday, September 26. Barbe will meet a Bears squad coming off a 34-20 non-league loss to Zachary (Zachary, LA). The Bears record now stands at 1-2.

The Raiders (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Jennings (Jennings, LA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Jennings topped Welsh (Welsh, LA), 26-14, in a non-league test.
