In Thursday's non-league test, the Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE) softball squad overwhelmed the host Adams Central Patriots (Hastings, NE), by a tally of 15-2.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the Milford Eagles (Milford, NE) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 23. Crete will attempt to improve on its 18-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 8-10 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Seward (Seward, NE).

The Patriots now hold a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Beatrice for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 20. Adams Central will face a Orangemen squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Freeman (Adams, NE). The Orangemen record now stands at 16-4.
