Tennessee High School Volleyball - Covington overwhelmed by Brighton

September 18, 2025: Covington, TN 38019

Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Covington Chargers (Covington, TN), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Brighton improves its record to 12-7 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Dyer County (Newbern, TN) to face the Choctaws in a non-league test on Monday, September 22. The Choctaws come into the challenge with a record of 18-5. Dyer County won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty Creek (Gallatin, TN)

Next, the Chargers meet the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, TN) in a AA District 15 challenge, on Monday, September 22. Covington will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Haywood (Brownsville, TN).
