The Marvin Ridge Mavericks volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Piedmont Panthers to 0 in the Mavericks league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now possess a 16-2 record. They play next when they host Hough for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 23.

With the loss, Piedmont drops to 6-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to play the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league outing on Monday, September 22.
