California High School Football - Helix crushed by Cathedral Catholic

September 19, 2025: La Mesa, CA 91941

The Cathedral Catholic Dons walloped the host Helix Highlanders football team by a score of 49-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Dons face the Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 26. Cathedral Catholic will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 49-42 non-league loss to Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA).

With the defeat, Helix drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league test on Friday, September 26. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 2-3. Mater Dei Catholic won 33-29 in their recent non-league test against St. Augustine (San Diego, CA)
