In Friday's league game, the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) football team overcame the host Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC), by a final score of 36-12.

With the win, Lower Richland advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Diamond Hornets host Crestwood (Sumter, SC) to encounter the Knights in a AAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, September 26. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Crestwood lost 42-0 in their recent league bout against South Florence (Florence, SC)

The Falcons now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a AAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, September 26. Darlington will encounter a Gators team coming off a 26-0 league loss to Wilson (Florence, SC). The Gators record now stands at 0-5.
