The De Soto Wildcats felled the host Piper Pirates football team by a score of 34-15 in Friday's league challenge.

The Wildcats now hold a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Basehor-Linwood for a United Kansas test on Friday, September 26. De Soto will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 35-22 league win over Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-0.

With the defeat, Piper drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Pirates host Spring Hill (Spring Hill, KS) to face the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 26. The Broncos go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Spring Hill lost 24-14 in their recent league test against Eudora (Eudora, KS)
