The Westlake Academy Blacksmiths football squad scored 39 points and limited the host Fort Worth THESA Riders to 35 in the Blacksmiths league triumph on Friday.

The Blacksmiths now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Poetry Community Christian for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Westlake Academy will face a Pioneer team coming off a 62-0 non-league loss to Prestonwood Christian North (Prosper, TX). The Pioneer record now stands at 0-2.

The Riders (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Milford (Milford, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Milford was edged by Aquilla (Aquilla, TX), 86-40, in a non-league outing.
