West Virginia High School Football - Parkersburg sneaks past Parkersburg South
September 19, 2025: Parkersburg, WV 26101 The Parkersburg Big Reds football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Parkersburg South Patriots to 17 in the Big Reds non-league triumph on Friday.
The Big Reds now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Riverside for a Mountain State test on Friday, September 26. Parkersburg will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 41-0 non-league loss to Nitro (Nitro, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 1-3.
The Patriots (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV). The Monarchs enter the Two Rivers challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, John Marshall held off Bellaire (Bellaire, OH), 34-26, in a non-league challenge.
