In Friday's non-league bout, the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) volleyball team held off the host Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA), by a margin of 2-1.

The Mustangs now possess a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to University City for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 20. Otay Ranch will battle a Centurions squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Christian (El Cajon, CA). The Centurions record now stands at 10-11.
