Georgia High School Football - Brookstone sneaks past Stratford Academy

September 20, 2024: Columbus, GA 31904

The Brookstone Cougars football squad scored 33 points and limited the visiting Stratford Academy Eagles to 27 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Calvary Christian for a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 test on Friday, September 27. Brookstone will meet a Knights squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Skipstone Academy (Griffin, GA). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Stratford Academy drops to 5-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host John Milledge Academy (Milledgeville, GA) to meet the Trojans in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 6 test on Friday, September 27. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 1-5. John Milledge Academy lost 33-6 in their recent non-league test against Brentwood (Sandersville, GA)
