New Mexico High School Soccer - Lovington nudges Chaparral
September 20, 2025: Chaparral, NM 88081 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) and the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), witnessed Lovington's soccer squad hold off Chaparral by a count of 2-1.
The Wildcats (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM). The Cavemen/Cavegirls enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Carlsbad was edged by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 7-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Lobos battle the Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 23. Chaparral will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Rockets enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Roswell (Roswell, NM).
