September 22, 2025: Sumner, WA 98390 The Sumner Spartans ran past the visiting Yelm Tornados football squad by a margin of 34-8 in Monday's non-league test.
The Spartans now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Kitsap for a non-league test on Monday, September 29. Sumner will meet a Wolves squad coming off a 32-14 non-league loss to Auburn Riverside (Auburn, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Yelm moves to 0-3 on the season. The Tornados travel to Spanaway Lake (Spanaway, WA) to face the Sentinels in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 29. The Sentinels go into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Spanaway Lake lost 26-11 in their recent non-league contest against Olympia (Olympia, WA)
