The Pirates (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Yoakum overwhelmed Gonzales (Gonzales, TX), 42-15, in a non-league game.
The Mustangs now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wills Point for a 4A-2 Region II District 6 game on Friday, October 7. Roosevelt will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-7 non-league loss to North Lamar (Paris, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.
