Illinois High School Soccer - Chicago University can't get by Lincoln-Way East
September 24, 2025: Chicago, IL 60637 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Chicago University Maroons.
The Griffins (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Moline (Moline, IL). The Maroons go into the non-league outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Moline got by Quincy (Quincy, IL), 7-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Maroons confront the Peoria Christian Chargers (Peoria, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 26. Chicago University will attempt to advance on its 8-3 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 11-3 record after their 3-3 non-league Morton (Morton, IL).
