Spectators at Thursday's non-league bout between the Clear Creek Golddiggers (Evergreen, CO) and the visiting St. Mary's Pirates (Colorado Springs, CO), saw Clear Creek's football team nip St. Mary's by a final score of 46-43.

With the win, Clear Creek advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Golddiggers host Gilpin County (Black Hawk, CO) to encounter the Eagles in a A-8 Central (8 Man) bout on Thursday, October 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Gilpin County won 48-12 in their recent non-league bout against Justice (Lafayette, CO)

The Pirates now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Elbert for a A-8 Black Forest (8 Man) contest on Friday, October 3. St. Mary's will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-14 league win over Calhan (Calhan, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
