In Thursday's league challenge, the host St. George's Gryphons volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx.

The Gryphons (5-11) will now prepare for their challenge against First Assembly Christian (Cordova, TN). The Crusaders come into the D II-A West 6 challenge with a 3-11 record.

Next, the Lynx play the Northpoint Christian Trojans (Southaven, MS) in a D II-A West 6 challenge, on Tuesday, October 1. Lausanne Collegiate will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 27-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS).
