Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC), 54-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Carolina Forest advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Panthers host Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC) to play the Braves in a AAAAA Region 6 battle on Friday, October 3. The Braves go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Socastee lost 50-6 in their recent non-league match against Loris (Loris, SC)

Coming up next, the Sabres confront the Powdersville Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 2 match, on Friday, October 3. Southside Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Patriots come into the match with a 3-2 record after their 53-45 non-league loss to Broome (Spartanburg, SC).
