The DeKalb Barons felled the host Huntington North Vikings football team by a score of 42-28 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Barons face the Norwell Knights (Ossian, IN) in a Northeast 8 challenge, on Friday, October 3. DeKalb will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 35-0 league loss to East Noble (Kendallville, IN).

The Vikings (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Leo (Leo, IN). The Lions come into the Northeast 8 test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Leo topped Bellmont (Decatur, IN), 47-0, in a league test.
