Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ), 35-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Westwood improves its record to 3-2 on the season. The Warriors host Basha (Chandler, AZ) to meet the Bears in a 6A Southern test on Friday, October 3. The Bears come into the test with a record of 5-0. Basha won 35-13 in their recent non-league test against Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ)

With the defeat, Desert Vista drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Thunder host ALA - Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ) to meet the Patriots in a 6A Southeast test on Friday, October 3. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 0-5. ALA - Queen Creek lost 21-17 in their recent non-league test against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ)
