In Friday's league match, the visiting Highland Hornets football squad scored a good 48-20 victory over the Valley Vikings.

The Hornets (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Miyamura (Gallup, NM). The Patriots enter the 5A District 1 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Miyamura thwarted Valley (Albuquerque, NM), 36-35, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Vikings confront the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 1 match, on Thursday, October 2. Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Jaguars enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 33-0 league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM).
