West Virginia High School Football - John Marshall thwarted by Parkersburg South
September 26, 2025: Parkersburg, WV 26101 Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), 41-14 in a league battle.
With the win, Parkersburg South improves its record to 1-4 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hurricane (Hurricane, WV) to play the Redskins in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Redskins go into the battle with a record of 0-5.
The Monarchs now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warren for a non-league test on Friday, October 3. John Marshall will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 44-7 non-league loss to Athens (The Plains, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 1-5.
