California High School Football - San Clemente falls to Murrieta Valley

September 26, 2025: San Clemente, CA 92673

The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks felled the host San Clemente Tritons football team by a score of 26-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Nighthawks face the Norco Cougars (Norco, CA) in a Big West - Upper challenge, on Friday, October 3. Murrieta Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 52-21 non-league win over Citrus Valley (Redlands, CA).

The Tritons (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Coronado (Henderson, NV). The Cougars come into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Coronado topped Basic (Henderson, NV), 49-34, in a league test.
